About our Caregivers
We specialize in providing licensed caregivers who are dedicated to long-term compassionate service and carefully matched with you and your needs. By carefully matching your loved one with a caregiver, we hope to foster deeper companionship, enhance safety, ensure reliability, accountability and eliminate confusion. We continually educate and train our caregivers on various aspects of senior care, particularly concerning Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s).
Our caregivers are there to provide for our clients physically, mentally and emotionally. As the ability to perform everyday tasks (such as brushing their teeth or going to the bathroom) declines for some older adults, our caregivers offer the assistance needed to keep your loved ones safe and comfortable.
We help our clients stay involved in life-affirming activities by helping them exercise, walk, and engage in social interaction through games, activities and going to local events. For additional tips on activities and keeping your loved one engaged, see our blog.
Before being placed in a client’s home, all of our caregivers have to pass a comprehensive criminal history background check through the Department of Justice, a DMV record check, and provide verification of current car insurance. All are state licensed, bonded and covered by worker’s Compensation insurance and liability insurance, as well as all PAGA and Wage Order 15 -state requirements, this takes the responsibility and liability off of the family to do this themselves. Nursing registries that provide you with an independent contractor as a caregiver do not offer this protection. Many of our caregivers have worked for Assured In-Home Care for several years and we are fortunate to have a consistent caregiver workforce.
Compatibility between the personalities of our clients and their caregivers is aspired. We tailor our services to meet each client’s individual needs and wants. If adjustments are necessary, we gladly make changes that the client is happy and comfortable with their caregiving team. After a caregiver is assigned, we collaborate with our caregivers and clients to ensure sure our client is receiving the best possible care.
